POST: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & PROJECTS OFFICER
Reports to: GENERAL MANAGER
The Community Development and Projects Officer is responsible for handling all projects within NCDA. These include but are not limited to Bee keeping, Dairy farming (artificial insemination) and water tanks.

Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Community Development or related course
Professional:
- QuickBooks
- Accounting Technician
- Project Management Professional (PMP) /PRINCE II certification is a plus
Duties and responsibilities:
- Designing project proposals for NCDA for discussion with potential funding agencies/donors managing approved projects by ensuring implementation and monitoring of all aspects including budgets, performance, reporting and control of related resources.
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of activities within sales & marketing, communication & asset development and agri-business dockets.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor day to day project activities
- Write concise, accurate reports
- Ensure timely production of narrative reports for donors including quality assurance; monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Assign all program budgets to appropriate donor budget lines and approve monthly budgets for authorization by the General Manager
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Support the General Manager in funding, networking and building partnerships
- Manage and maintain NCDA relationships with the relevant stakeholders
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop comprehensive project plans including monitoring and tracking aspects to be shared with relevant stakeholders
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with clients for detailed briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Liaise with the Accountant to ensure that expenditure is in line with approved donor budgets and that all players are aware of grant/donor conditions
- Ensure timely and accurate Information dissemination between the donors and the NCDA management/board
- Supervise development, planning and Implementation of activities of Communication & Asset Development, Sales & Marketing and Agribusiness portfolios.
- Support the Communications officer in the production of project related communications tools: video
- clips, leaflet, press release/ press kit, database • Ensure that project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the NCDA and the relevant donor
- Guide NCDA procurement process
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

- 3 years’ proven working experience in project management and proposal writing.
