Ndithini Community Development Association(NCDA) is a community based and owned development organization. It is registered at the Attorney General’s Office, under the Society Act. Registration No. is 25014 dated 22nd June 2005. Initially, a group of people from Ndithini but mainly residents of Nairobi met to discuss the devastating effect of sand harvesting in the (an activity still going on today) area but soon dropped the idea due to peoples hostility to it. Nevertheless the idea of forming an organization to promote development in the area with  the hope that one day it will be deal with the environmental destruction.
